How to use chat during a live stream event?

Most Backpacking Light live-streamed online events include a chat option so you can interact with the presenters and/or other attendees.

A chat interface usually appears below the live-stream video player (see image below).

To get the best experience with chat, click the 3-dot (•••) menu in the upper right corner of the chat window, then select the "Pop out" option. 

This opens the chat interface in a separate browser window, which you can then drag around on your screen wherever you want so you can enjoy watching both the video and chat at the same time.

Most users will drag the chat window to the right of the video player, like this:

Or, if you have a dual-monitor setup, you can watch the video live stream on one monitor and have the chat window up on the other monitor.
