Sign in and access TRIPS beta

Use this article when you are getting started and want to confirm that you can actually use the planner.

What to do

  1. Open TRIPS from the Backpacking Light entry point you were given.
  2. Sign in with the Backpacking Light account that has TRIPS access.
  3. Let the app finish its sign-in redirect.
  4. Confirm that the planner opens normally.

What you are checking for

You want to confirm two things:

  • you are signed in successfully
  • your account is recognized as having TRIPS access

If access does not look right

Check these first:

  • make sure you are using the intended Backpacking Light account
  • try the sign-in flow again from a fresh tab
  • refresh once after the redirect completes

How to think about save and account features

Depending on the current deployment, some trip-management actions may depend on account access and sign-in state.
